"Inspired by the women's liberation movement in Iran, my artwork encapsulates the essence of life and freedom. Comprising a sequence of framed mirrors and fragments of coloured glass, these pieces invite you to peer through the frames, revealing a striking mosaic of juxtaposed colours that reflect your surroundings and, in turn, your unique perspective. The message conveyed is clear: our surroundings are diverse, much like ourselves, yet within the crystal-clear mirror, you discover the one person who can ignite change and become a catalyst for this revolution—you, and you alone possess the power to make a difference."
Within my artistic realm, the utilization of recycled frames transcends mere aesthetics; it represents a purposeful endeavour to champion sustainability and awaken environmental consciousness. These frames bear witness to a storied past, cradling cherished family memories or preserving fragments of personal history. Their incorporation into my work serves as an alchemical infusion, bestowing upon each piece an emotional resonance that forges profound connections with those who behold it.
In this intricate dance between past and present, the repurposed frames become veritable storytellers, weaving narratives that traverse generations. Through this artistic approach, I aspire to kindle a heightened reverence not only for the art itself but also for the broader ethos of sustainability, inviting viewers to embark on a transformative journey where creativity and environmental stewardship converge.
